What the signals mean
Trusted is a relationship choice made by a user, not a background check or sorlo endorsement. Met records a confirmed interaction between two accounts; Meetup confirmation does not identity-verify either person, prove exact location or guarantee safety. Vouch adds social context and is not identity verification or a promise about future behaviour. A connection path explains network context, not universal endorsement.
Personal Keys
Share your own key only when comfortable allowing a particular person to find or request you. Entering or scanning a key does not create entitlement to contact someone or override boundaries. Do not distribute another person’s key without permission.
Introductions and contact
A connection path is not an invitation. An introduction does not require a reply, meeting or continued conversation. Respect a decline, silence, request to stop or block.
Meeting someone new
- Consider meeting in a public place.
- Tell someone you trust where you are going.
- Arrange your own transport.
- Keep control of information you are not ready to share.
- Leave if you feel uncomfortable.
You never owe anyone a meeting or an explanation for ending one.
Plans and offline meetings
Plans are user-created and generally not organised, supervised or endorsed by sorlo. Read the information, decide whether it is appropriate and remember that joining is consent to that activity only. Report concerns about a Plan or behaviour around it.
Privacy and boundaries
sorlo uses selected place, Trip and explicitly published temporary Around context rather than public live tracking. Around does not prove somebody’s live presence. Information visible through the network is not automatically public. Use privacy controls and do not use location or relationship context to stalk, monitor, expose or intimidate anyone.
Blocking and reporting
Blocking is a boundary. Use the in-app tools when you do not want someone to interact with you. Report concerning users, messages, content or Plans in the Service, or contact safety@sorlo.app. For privacy or data-rights concerns, contact privacy@sorlo.app. Do not put yourself at risk collecting evidence.
Immediate danger
sorlo is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services.
